The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer

Costume Designs for Lucifer

The Canterbury Tales is a series of short stories written in the late 1300s. It follows the journey of a group of pilgrims from the Tabard Inn in Southwark to St Thomas à Becket's shrine at Canterbury Cathedral. The host at the inn suggests each pilgrim tell two tales on the way out and two on the way home to help pass the time on the road.

These costumes are influenced by the period in which the stories were written, referencing the fashions of the time combined with animalistic traits.
